Este smartphone dispone de 4 GB de memoria RAM con un sistema operativo Android 5.0 Lollipop y una pantalla de 5, 5 pulgadas a 1080p.
Este móvil tiene una gran potencia gracias al procesador Intel Atom Z3590 que dispone de cuatro núcleos a una velocidad de 2.5 GHz y una tarjeta gráfica PowerVR G6430.
Almacena hasta 32, 64 o 128GB de memoria interna, además de una ranura microSD para poder ampliarla.

La cámara frontal del Asus Zenfone Zoom es capaz de tomar fotos panorámicas con mayor facilidad gracias al mayor ángulo de apertura, este dispositivo esta equipado con zoom 3X, un estabilizador óptico de imagen y un doble flash LED además de que la cámara se compone de 10 lentes.
